Hiking with my Ichinenseis

One Saturday, I was able to go hiking with my ichinenseis (first year students). We took a train to Nagahama which is about 15 minutes away. We then proceeded to walk from Nagahama back to Hikone. Meanwhile, stopping at various temples and other cultural aspects along the way. One of the main attractions was visiting a big Buddha which you can see from the train ride to Nagahama. We were even allowed to go up to the different platforms to see the Buddha up close (something that you are not normally allowed to do). After a few hours of walking, we arrived back in Hikone. It was a good time for me to get to know my ichinenseis better and it was a good time for them to practice their English!
